New to the Forum
 

Hey guys,

I've owned my Miata for almost a year now (kind of hard to believe). I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm currently a super-senior in college (not because I'm an idiot or like to party but because I have two undergraduate degrees I am pursuing). I'll be graduating in December.

I have a '97 black Miata (posting pictures tomorrow). It's pretty stock for the most part. I have installed a Mishimoto aluminum radiator and fans, a couple other odds an ends. Nothing too major.

As for my experience, I developed an interest in cars when I bought and started modding my mk4 GTI. As time progressed I lost interest in the Volkswagen and it's just my daily for the time being.

My plans for the Miata are still in the works. The engine has about 203,xxx on the clock and recently started to smoke. I'm in the process of diagnosing what is wrong with the car. Once I get everything healthy with the car I'm hoping to to a partial DIY turbo setup with a Megasquirt ECU. I'm hoping to get at or around 200whp. I'm still very new to working on engines, so it'll be one big learning experience. Once the car is healthy I plan on taking it to a couple track events (autocross and drifting events) to see where my interest lies.

I live around King of Prussia, Pennsylvania (suburb of Philadelphia) and hope to meet some fellow Miata enthusiasts in my area and on the forums.
