Hi all,
My name is Jon, I've been reading the boards for a while and figured I would introduce myself. I've has three Na Miatias over the years. A 96 M-edition a base 95 and also a 95 M-edition. The last one is being used for my current project. I'm building a Lotus 7 repilca using the 95 drivetrain. It will have a turbo based off some BEGI parts and a lot of custom work.

A while? Looks like you were here from the very beginning.

I see you had a firestorm of posts in April of 2007. Let's see some pics.

I hope this is ok. Here is a link to my build log over on Locostusa. It has been awhile since I've updated it but progress has been steady. I just don't take may picture due to the messiness of my garage.

Welcome JonnyZ! Nice looking Locost project! I would love to build one some day. It might be my next car project after I turbo my 93.

I want a Seven replica badly. One day...

Why doesn't one use the Miata subframes or at least the control arms when building one?

Some have used the rear subframe and the rear arms, which does make the process a lot easier. The downside is weight. Those items are quite heavy. I chose to fab my own arms to save that weight and for the experience of making everything myself. Well almost everything.
