Default Better late than never.

I saw some OG here mention something about forum noobs actually writing these things up, and realized I hadn't. So what the hell.

I'm Adam, 29 years old, was living out in Chicago for the last three years and moved back to Baltimore (*sigh*) last August. I have been HPDEing/Tracking/Instructing since '02, but am going to take a break from instructing for awhile. Maybe indefinitely. I've always had a motion sickness issue when riding shotgun, and until recently could control that with medication. For that time I drove mostly an Integra and Civic with a few other rides thrown in. My brother's 240SX was an eye-opener to bigger power and RWD

I am also an avid karting fan and have been arrive-and-drive karting for about as long as I've been tracking. More recently I've become more interested in enduros because of the strategy involved, although I have a hard time turning down "all you can kart" days too.

As for the Miata side of things, I picked up a '92 C-package a few weeks ago. 180K on the clock, lowered terribly with no-name springs and Tokico Blues, but seemed fairly solid. Came with a hardtop and a bunch of recent maintenance for $2000. After getting it home I found a bunch of bondo'd rust in the rockers, but otherwise the car has been mostly what I expected.

I got to experience Splitime's Miata a bunch while out in Chicago and he got me hooked on trying that out. I am a cheapskate, but a decent DIYer. I can handle any maintenance, and can fab pretty much anything that doesn't involve welding.

Annnnnnd there we go.

If its a stud does that make me gay?

I initially was going to, but am rethinking that now. Given how cheap some of these caged/prepped cars are, I think down the line I'll just pick one of those up. Its nice having a comfy daily driver for the first time in 6 years, and I don't think I want to ruin that quite yet with a Kirkey, rollbar/cage, and stripped interior
