Hello fellow Miata enthusiasts!

My name is Sam. I am 21, I work full time and go to school part time for electrical engineering.

I've experienced many cars from my 05 mid 12 sec. ACR SRT-4 to a simple ITR swapped EM1, but I am somewhat of a noob to Miatas.

Summer of 2011 I purchased a bone stock 1.6L 1993 one owner miata with 75k for $3300 from a older gentleman basically because I read in an issue of Car and Driver that it is one of the top 10 cars to drive before you die and I can say its def. been a blast in stock form.

P.S. I daily drive a 2000 Audi A6, perfect for the Wisconsin winters.

I have decided to do a full all out build on the Miata with a budget of ~15k. I am looking to make just about 300whp using the 1.6L motor accompanied with a 6speed trans and a 3.6 rear end.

I also created a Facebook page to blog and update my build. I figured it would be easier to keep track of than posting to all the different forums.

That's the car the motor is out of. I've heard some not so good things about that car, maybe ppl that know the history on it can chime in. I bought it from "da chop" who told me the motor was in good condition but he did not provide any paper work for it, so it was a risk I took. I plan to take it apart and freshen it up but if someone knows that it's just, then I may just ditch it.
