Hello,

I've lurked on this forum for ages because it's obviously full of great information. Mostly what I do is read up, and follow projects, and typically haven't had much I felt needed to be added to the conversation. Still, I figured it was finally about time to introduce myself.

I own a 1990 classic red (because I like to be a unique individual). It's running a megasquirt pnp with a hot-supercharger (dodges rocks), but I know you don't care about that. One day it will be greater.

My father and I are currently working on putting a boosted '99 powerplant, '99 transmission, and torsen out of a '96 into his '91 BRG. He was already running a Megasquirt DIY type 2 for engine management. We're using the old Garret style turbo FM used to use in it's kit. It's been rebuilt by Garrett. We're using the previous generation BEGi intake manifold for smaller boost levels. We're going FM's molded hoses and BOV with BEGi's stage 2 intercooler. We're making our own coolant reroute for the the project that goes around the hot side, and we'll do something about the spark delivery. Not sure if we'll need to go with something as strong as LSX coils, or just the Toyota COP set-up. Basically we'll do something similar to what we did for this car.

There's still lots of things we've yet to iron out, like which injectors, but it's slowly moving along. We may also go through the suspension to get any worn ball joints, and some fresh/urethane bushings.

It's a slow progress project that we work on when we aren't busy with other things in the shop.

We also do some road racing in the SCCA. I run a '95 Miata in ITA, and the old man runs a '93 in FProd.

His car (barely), and the motor.

With the Clemson license plate, and the 864 area code on the side of the NAPA building, you must be in Upstate SC.

I'm a Clemson alumnus, the GSP area is my favorite part of SC.

Spot on. I was just out at the Clemson auto cross a few weekends ago.

My cat went to live with my parents, because my place is too small, and he enjoyed being an outside cat. This is him after recovering from a hip surgery a good while back.
