New here: Just bought my 11th Miata

Hello Everyone,

My name is Aaron and my wife will tell anyone who'll listen that I should have stopped at my first Miata. Good thing I met her when I was on #3. I've also had some watercooled VWs (Rabbit and 2 Jettas), B13 Sentra SE-Rs, Integra GSR (current daily driver), and a WRX.

I've owned 10 Miatas up until now, from 1999-2006. Followed the Miata mailing list and the Powerlist (crazier turbo guys, incl. FM and BEGI) then moved onto miata.net. Clubroadster and miataturbo are new to me. Had a chance to play with NA, SC (JRSC), and turbo (DIY FM-based with Link ECU). I've also had the pleasure of engine/trans R&R, Torsen swaps, lots of different suspensions, rollbars, tops, etc.

I just bought my 11th Miata, a Red 91 that's already had some work: Greddy Turbo, external wastegate, 3" exhaust, E-Manage, Profec B, V-mount IC, D2 coilovers, Autopower rollbar, some staggered wheels and fender flares.

I'm bringing the car home tonight and will spend some time figuring out just what I've gotten myself into. I plan to ditch the E-manage/Profec and upgrade to a proper ECU, something along the lines of Megasquirt. I've got my eye on a 6-speed and a 3.90 Torsen swap, too. And of course, I'll need a proper suspension, unless the ricey D2 coilovers perform better than their first impression.

My goals for the new Miata are to build reliable power and make it a worthy weekend street/track machine. I have funds available but I'm the low budget type, some would say cheap, but I'll spend where it's needed (i.e. engine management).

So here we go. I hope the 11th time is the charm...

Welcome aboard Aaron. Seems you like you don't need any hand holding when it comes to Miatas.

A lot of knowledge on this board if you're willing to laugh at yourself a little bit :giggle:

Any pics?
