New kid from the Netherlands
Hi! I'm Alfred, 28yo and I live in the Netherlands.
This is my 1992 MX-5 that I've owned ever since I was 18. It was my first car and I just never got rid of it. It was completely stock when I got it and over the years I modded it on a very tight budget, learning all kinds of stuff and meeting all kinds of awesome people along the way. I bought a supercharged engine two years back and swapped that in, but in the process of tuning it turned out the charger was in worse shape than I thought and it seized up. Pulled it off and drove around for a while with an intercooled N/A engine with an ME221 standalone, 420cc injectors and a coolant reroute while I scavenged turbo parts. Bought a cheap barely used Greddy kit and got some extra parts to complete it. Last weekend we finally put all the stuff on. We got a second oil pan with a bung welded on but we underestimated how hard it'd be to swap pans without taking the engine out. Two days later after dropping the entire subframe, the new pan was in and the remaining stuff bolted on. Now there's just a few bits and pieces left. I've spent many hours on this forum in my research times, but now that my turbo is actually on I figured it was time to sign up!
