new kid from Tampa

hey guys, I'm a 17 year old kid from Tampa with a BONE stock 1990 NA.

I have coilovers coming in the mail that will be going on this weekend.

Next on the list is a BEGi turbo kit (probably shanghai S) that I will probably only be running about 7-8psi on. I plan on using the AEM fuel/ignition controller along with this.

EMS then turbo, actually I would recommend doing a 1.8 swap engine and diff + EMS(MS or EMS-4) and then go turbo. Also do some reading on this forum loads of info on miata's and tuning. WELCOME ENJOY don't F*** up your car!

You have a miata at 17?? Dam i'm envous of your guys insurance...welcome around!

I know I'm 26, but my insurance on my miata is less than it was on my Audi.

You're insurance is probably higher due to you driving on the wrong side of the road :giggle:

Ryan_G 03-08-2013 09:16 AM

I pay less than $100 a month for full coverage on my 05' MSM and I am only 22. I bet it would be quite a bit lower on a 90' NA. Miata insurance is cheap.

Welcome OP.

If you talk about slamming your car, drifting, or stretching tires we will all rape you furiously.

thenuge26 03-08-2013 10:58 AM

Oh also if your '90 is bone stock, sell it now before you ruin it and buy a stock 94-97. Then you don't have to worry about the diff swap AND you get a better engine.

Hello,

I am in Plant City. There are a few of us here that reside in the area. There is a local Miata forum tampabaymiatas.net You may want to check it out for local events.

Miater 03-08-2013 12:38 PM

Welcome, what brand of coil overs did you buy?

LOWnSLO 03-08-2013 04:58 PM

I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but I the coilovers I bought are ricelands

Old?

Vashthestampede 03-08-2013 06:13 PM

Shit, I pay less than that for 3 cars through Geico.

I shouldn't talk. At one point in my life, I paid $440 a month. That was when I was crazy as fuck though.

Miater 03-08-2013 06:32 PM

Only 30. I have had insurance through them for ever, 15 years, and other accounts aswell. I also have a great lawyer and nothing on my record.

I was just jerking your chain.

The young lad will have to prove his worthiness before he gets a good insurance rate. I think we all did.
