Default Miata yellow cake

I have been pretty much a Hardcore Toyota, Nissan fan for years.
keeping mostly to Datsun, 260z, 200sx & Toyota Corrolas.
one of my friends was given a 91 Miata and after listening to him rave about how nice it handles in comparison of the S12 i was pretty much sold. so i have been looking for entry level project. I found it. A friend of a friends daughter had a Miata was having some trouble and it was for sale. having friends in the middle of a business deal is not good. They tend to makes things slow. So i went straight for the kill and talked to the Owner of the car hims self. I had no Idea what condition the Miata was in. So i drove the miles to see it. I was hoping i could drop the cash and drive away. Luck was not with me instead the is a bright yellow the paint was cracking and pealing. There was a sticker in the paint of the "Lady of Guadalupe" on the gas filler door. some bumper damage front and rear nothing too serious that a reskin wont fix. this lady was shod with 15" ford wheels with 195/50's bought recently by owner.

its a 90 NA 1.6 and the crank snout was broken. looks as if the T-belt was reassembled without the spacer washer behind the t-belt cog.
oh well I see a 1.8 in this cars future. I bought it for $400 cash towed it home some 40 miles

here I am with a 1990 yellow Lady Guadalupe

Welcome to the site. Sounds like quite a project you picked up. Take some pictures before you start the makeover. It's always few years down the road I really wish I could go back and look at what I pile I started with.

I did, lots of them.

I already have a list of things.
this is going to take the place of my S12 in black as my daily.
