hey it was a good deal for the price and was in a running miata for a long time. It's not a $4k FM kit, but few can afford that.

It was one of the nastiest piles of crap for sale here in a while, so yeah, the joke is on whoever was stupid enough to buy it from you for asking price. I guess you should be happy you ripped someone off? Comparing it to a FM kit is offensive.

But anyways, I don't know where your neg props came from, but apparently people don't like you. Good luck to you. Your car looks pretty clean and is hopefully well sorted.

Curly cleaned up your FS ad from the criticizm, and I wasn't going to bring it up again, but if you're gonna do it, well then I guess you really want to hear the truth.

I have discussed it on Facebook before. But it is amazing how many asshats come through here and will buy any aesthetically pleasing turbo setup, though loingevity may be ****. I could make a fortune scooping up cheap 1.6s and throwing ebay kits on them and throwing a meagsquirt and cheap injectors and sell it for 7500. Yeah it will run good but at the end of the 2 weeks **** will break and crack. Why don't I do it? I feel it is not ethical to the miatas. They don't deserve to be treated that way.

OEM MSM turbo + OEM injectors + OEM manifold + a decent DP + AEM fuel controller + HKS bov and ewg + hallman MBC = crap...lol ok.

It's used beat up JUNK.

The turbo itself is the best thing out of everything listed. You're better off selling everything at $500 OBO

The AEM tuner is worth $200-250...so you're saying the turbo and the rest were only worth $250? Go troll somewhere else

Let us pray for the victim you wished to scam with your assortment of parts for $1k.

Too lazy to insert "what you see, what we see" image.

When it comes to selling a mixed bunch of parts like this you should understand the other person is taking a risk in hopes that these parts will work for their setup.

Edit*

Are you able to post a photo of the exhaust housing on the turbo where it's showing the exducer blades & internal gate?

The kit has shipped so no I'm not. Like the posting said I received this kit as compensation for a clutch and HG job. It was on his car originally and worked fine on his NA w/COP and running the factory MSM ecu. Then he pulled it off, went EWG and gave it to me.

Ok here goes:

-The turbo is on the lower end of mediocre, actually more inefficient and smaller than a junkyard t25, but because they are hard to come by most people will pay up to about 350 for them if it's in good condition.
- The manifold is also mediocre at best, but probably worth 100-200 if it was unaltered. But it looks like a drugged out baboon thought it might be a good idea to mig-weld/bird crap an EWG flange to it, and stick the oldest, ugliest ewg known to mankind onto it. it will crack in a short while. not even sure what its worth but def less than 100
- The downpipe is actually a decent looking piece. Kudoes on that. 100?
- The MSM ecu is useless on any car that isn't an msm or a full on wiring swap. The aem fic is mediocre at best, but I guess it's worth like 200
- The epileptic adhd assortment of various fmic pipes with several missing pieces and a beat up ebay core is worth like, 50-70?
- the bov and mbc together would be about 100 total.

Now, these are optimistic prices, because quite honestly no one in their right mind would even use those parts cause of how ghetto and janky they are. Not even for the $870 that I'm optimistically pricing them at. And NO it's not a "complete setup" like your friend or whoever that was mentioned. If you think so, go ahead and help the guy that bought it from you install and successfully tune it on his car, and have him report of all the stuff he needed to get to even get it running, and also how long it actually lasts (successfully) on his car.

Again, I'm only breaking this down cause you asked me to.

I know you didn't attempt to "hide" anything in the ad or screw anyone over, you're just tryijng to get paid. I get that. But when you say "joke's on them" I can't help but get annoyed by it.

The poor sap that bought it is in for one heck of a learning experience.

This makes no sense. It would be missing most of the sensors and hardware that the stock ecu uses to function properly. Not to mentioned the stock NA harness is not pinned properly for the stock MSM ecu. I think it might even use completely different plugs but I am not sure.

I have no comment on the rest of the transaction as I believe the buyer carries quite a bit of responsibility to research the purchase thoroughly. Short of misrepresentation or deceptive practices on the part of the seller receiving incorrect parts for their application falls on the buyer.

He was using the AEM card to tune it, not the MSM Ecu. That was a spare that was included.

ok we're up to 875 then add in the injectors and a phantom boost gage, and you're nearly at $1000. That's what he paid knowing what he was getting into, and that's what he's getting. I don't really feel there are any better deals out there at the moment, and if he loses his ambition and wants to sell it then he can. Definitely wasn't out there to screw anyone over, what you saw is what you got.

**Also yes that weld job was a joke and very poorly done, but functional.

oem injectors are worth 20-40
"phantom" boost gauge is worth like 20 lol

Honestly, you and Ryan are both right: the buyer should be responsible for doing the homework, so in that regard you are right. It's definitely not a "complete kit" though, and you definitely shouldn't be surprised that the regulars haze you about it a bit. I mean if you were a noob and impulse bought that setup do you think you'd be happy with it?

Anyways, it's bygones.
