New to miatas
 
hello all...i am fairly new to miatas :noob:, and i just would like to know where i can find solid decent advice on where to start on a budget turbo build for my 2003 1.8L ...i have used google and read tons of posts and i think i read too much..now i am confused.... Thank you all for your help and understanding

Welcome. No such thing as reading too much. Pick up "maximum boost" and get yourself acquainted with turbocharging. Then read all the FAQ's. Then the build threads. Get a feel for the problems and obstacles. After that feel free to ask questions. Just make sure its not stuff already posted 10000 times or these guys will shit all over you

Welcome. For a first time turbo build on a miata, I wouldn't suggest putting the word "budget" into it. I would suggest picking up a FM or BEGI kit (new or used), and go from there. Once you understand what is involved in a turbo setup, then you can either start upgrading the parts or sell the kit and put together your DIY.

Anyways, just my thoughts :)

Like they said, check out DIY FaQ's. Read it through. Start from there. You'll get it fast. Be carefull who you listen to too!!! May people will steer you in odd directions, but the FaQ's won't!!!!!
