new to miatas

so i recently just purchased a miata and have been goin over everything and was wondering what are the two small inlet/outlet on the bottom of the radiator

It's for the turbo. You probably have an intercooler up there.

It for sure has nothin to do with a turbo I have a stock NA there just two fittings right on the bottom of the stock radiator

Maybe they are for automatic trans cooler lines.

Ding ding ding. If it's a metal radiator it's from an auto miata and has trans cooler lines on it. IIRC the auto ones are slightly bigger and better than the m/t ones.

If you go looking for a new oem style plastic radiator auto tranny models are all you see. Which is fine, they are cheap, have a fraction more volume for coolant, and you don't have to do anything with the lines for the transmission.

ok thank you everyone...this radiator has seen better days. ill be purchasing a mishimotto pretty soon just wanted to be certain on what the fittings were for
