New owner Montreal canada 92 SE package
Hi,
Just bought my frist miata in october a 1992 SE canadian Package
Black exterior/hard top tan interior, complete stock exept an air filter and cat-delete. and NO-Rust
So far i love it, very fun to drive.
i plan on changing suspension/rims and make the car a summer toy and a couple of track day.
here are the pic when i bought it!

Looks in decent shape but shouldn't have the bumper emblem and it looks like the ducting from the mouth to the rad is missing and you should have an air bag. Wheels look like factory wheels off a 99, IIRC 92 SE's had BBS wheels.
I hear there are some reasonable shops / importers in the Montreal area you could use.
Get into autox before modifying the car, it will teach you the areas that you can improve in before you mask them by making the car more competent.

The steering wheel came stock like this here in quebec with no-airbag and yes for the wheel's and radio.
For the logo, i don't know. Didn't really ask me this question but yes it seem's like it's only in 93 that the mazda logo was stock on the bumper
Not sure about what you mean by the ducting for the front rad. but i know that the rad have been change
yes there is A LOT of JDM importer in montreal area but, it's more for honda/acura. i did a quick search for part's back in november and there is quite no support for miata.
At this moment the biggest help was by reading different miata forum i still don't beleive how much pertinent information there is compare to other car.
Finaly i sound like a good idea to try it "stock" so see were are the lack's.

Garage Robert in Laval for importing Flyin' Miata stuff. Very pleasant and professional to deal with, though I'm not convinced that I saved a lot of money over just having FM ship to me directly and paying the duties, shipping, etc. myself.
Instead of autocross - I don't know of any in or near Montreal anyway - just start going to lapping days on Mondays in St-Eustache. The only "specialized" thing you need is a helmet (SNELL 2005 or newer, I believe, auto or motorcycle). Other than that, just a car in good shape and some moneys for the annual membership ($100) and track time ($20/20 minute session). There are about 4 or 5 Miatas that show up regularly or semi-regularly, including an instructor with a turbo NA.
Your English is better than some of the English speakers on here (mon francais, comme troisieme langue, n'est rien d'impressionant non-plus, meme si je changerais mon clavier pour mettre des accents), but you should stop using apostrophes when writing things (not "thing's") in plural or in present tense.
If you see a silver NB with aftermarket wheels driving like an asshat in St-Henri, there's a good chance it's me.

and for the shipping ans importation i don't know if you know freeportforwarding? They are a small compagnie in state at the border that you can ship your things there for a very small cost and then go pick them up. There are at the border of the 15south, so around 45 mins from montreal. Combine that with a full tank of gaz in state that you make, the money you just save on the gaz tank is a proximately the gaz you use to go there. Then when you pass back the border you pay the tax and thats it no more fee of "dédoinage" and extra shipping cost to canada.
