New from Raleigh NC

Hey everyone!
I've owned my '91 miata for a year and a half now. My miata is my only car so it is daily driven. I like to consider myself a bit of a track rat. I have a few track days under my belt (@Virginia International Raceway) and I've recently "gone solo". I'm on a tiny budget so I don't get to drive very often, I feel like this has hindered my development as a driver so I am looking for cheaper ways to stay involved in the racing community between events. My car is pretty typical of a budget track miata. It is not pretty, fast, or comfortable, it is just functional. It's a learning tool, not a race car. It was cheap and it already had good parts on it so I bought it. One day I'll toss the rusty chassis and swap all my parts over to a better car. I was told this was the place to go to learn about fabrication and track prep, so here I am. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1381890986 |
Welcome to the forum. What good parts does it have?
|
It came with a couple sets of wheels, hardtop, rollbar, 1.8 brakes, and koni/ground control/eibach setup.

Hey welcome. what part of raleigh do you live in? Im in southwest area near cary.
Did you buy this from a guy who had a corvette also? I think I met him a couple years ago when he was doing track events with this car. Said he never really had any issues with it |
I'm near RDU.
The guy I bought the car from was a motorcycle racer. I think I'm about the tenth owner of this car. So far three people have come up to me in the paddock and said "did you buy this from X". Different name every time. |
Ha gotcha. Well welcome regardless
