Talking Newb in va!

Hey guy!

I have had my 94 mx5 for about 6 months now.
It is black, 5 speed and low. Other than that nothing.
So I figured I'd join a miata forum, and get to learning.
So howdy, I'm Jawsh.

I am looking into boosting the Mazda.
So I think I'll be looking for a kit soon.
Or just start buying the parts I need.

Here are some pictures.

I heard the best way to turbo a miata is redoing the suspension so it actually works.

Nah, you just stretch your tires really wide, and that helps build boost.

Les than 12 hours as a member and already getting trolled.
That's epic haha.

No one said you guys had to like it.
Wheels and suspension because it's a daily I has Subaru.
Now I wana turbo it for Autox.

So why cant I be low and boosted?
Already have some parts for my turbo.
Exhaust manifold and a td04h I figure that would put me at 225.
Well along with supporting mods.

Can some one gimme some more info on this megasquirt?
Is it basically like a Cobb accessoort?

You can be low and boosted. No problem with that.

But don't expect us to hold back.

Hell, when I first got here, I was still getting ready to pay someone to put a FFS supercharger on. They flamed me, we laughed, I learned, and everyone moves on.

Don't take it seriously.

I never said it would end well.

OP, before you think about talking back about how much you know about cars, read this (all the way through, I know it is long), and then understand that most people here know much more about the Miata than you do. The consequences of not listening to them are expensive.

I would suggest you leave wheels and coils on the car to autox I dont think bare rotors have much traction, and the frame rails scraping the ground might make it harder for them.

I will give him this, at least.

An entire portion of this forum dedicated only to the megasquirt.

MEGAsquirt - Miata Turbo Forum - Home to the Turbo Miata

Try actually looking around a bit before asking stupid questions next time. This is your 1 pass.

I just have a 04 wrx.
I think 225 on the 1.8 is good for a 1st turbo build.
My buddy 13bTurbo swaped his 99 and made about 250 on a mild tune.
I have drivin that around and thought it felt nice. No need for ls1 swap.....yet

most people do it when they want to spend $20K and get 300hp.

others turn up the boost and get the same...

Levnubhin is on base down there, and is running a MS2 i built for him, if you want to see first hand how the MS works.

Oh stop it you're making me blush

OP,
Protip: shut the **** up, don't respond to people poking fun of your gay ride height and the fact that you are a weekend drifter (ie: closet homosexual), and READ!! All the info to properly boost your car is here, and this forum is one of the best for turbocharging a miata.

And if you ask again if megasquirt is like the cobb crapcessport I'll teabag you.
