Default 99 SC Miata owner from California

Hi everyone,
I've owned my Miata for a little over 2 years now and put a FFS Coldside on it about a year ago. I'm really thinking about selling the S/C and jumping over to a turbo and megasquirting it instead. I like my FFS kit but I just want more options and control over my engine bay. The lack of an intercooler is really whats making me want to switch to a turbo kit and the lack of control with the piggyback is what makes me want a MS. So here I am, creeping on these forums.

You'd probably enjoy a good hot side, intercooled M62 but if you're not smog-minded then turbo might be better down the road. I hate trying to dodge california emission bullets, but I figure I can de-supercharge and re-"stock" my car in about 2 hours with simple tools.

Although if you know a guy for smog, then maybe turbo is all around perfect.

Yeah I would definitely be in the same boat if I went turbo. I wish I personally knew somebody qualified to do emissions testing, that would make life easier and I probably would have just went the turbo route from the get go. That's where the draw of the FFS came from. I used to be really into the old S30 chassis Z cars, a few models are exempt from emissions testing so you could imagine the amount of freedom we had working on those. Fun stuff.
