The newest Newb

Never been to AA, but I would have to imagine its similar to this... :)

My name is Robert Russom and I'm from Birmingham, AL.

I've owned several miatas over the past 15 years and they are:
2) 90s
2) 91s
1) 92
1) 93
1) 94
1) 95
1) 99

My 93 C-package was the first one I turbo'd with an FMII kit in '99 or so, nice streetable car. The next was a 94 R-pkg. That car was more of a track car, had a V-type intercooler/radiator setup with the intercooler taking the place of the hood latch, just under the top of the core support. I had an extractor vent behind it in the hood to keep the air moving. That was maybe '03 or so. In 06 I picked up the first 90 model and did a forged bottom end, but stock displ. LS6/T56/IRS 8.8 setup. The car was a blast, but my needs changed and I ended up in a OTM.

Now, I'm back to my roots, my latest purchase, another 90 model is being documented in the "fun with sawzall" thread here on the forum that rharris19 started a few years ago and was ultimately the way I found this forum. I'm building this car to be fun for me, it probably won't look all that great, but I want something that is light, handles well, brakes well, and has decent power, but above all, I want it to be as reliable as a stock miata.

I'm glad I found you guys!
Robert
