Default Hi my name is Aric and I am a boostaholic

Just thought i would introduce myself. I own a 2005 mazdaspeed with almost no stock parts on it. I am currently running a gt28rs on a S4 manifold I purchased from Bell with a custom 3 inch downpipe, 3inch exhaust, hydra blah blah blah. Just about everything I made myself.

These are old pictures of before I had the kit finished, I have not had a chance to take a picture of everything as it sits now. I have had everything on the car for about 10k miles the manifold has started to fall apart and I am regretting spending the cash buying it from begi (yes I had it braced)

S4 mani FTL. Weird that it's falling apart though. What are they doing to resolve this issue?
The charge pipes are interesting. I bet the GT28 is nice as well.

Welcome Aric.

Steph at begi has said a new manifold is on the way, although if it falls apart I may look into making one myself or having one made that is made of much thicker tube. The carge pipe is run to meet up with some of the factory intercooler piping and to leave me room for an air filter. The gt28 is awesome, although with the s4 manifold the overboost was crazy, it would hit 15psi+ with the waistgate wired open in 4th gear. I solved that problem by porting the snot out of the WG on the turbo, now the boost is rock solid and I can start to turn it up without being afraid it will spike to 20psi or something crazy

Why Sam; do you smell a Jew?

No offense Aric; he's Jewish.

Welcome Aric. Curious as to where exactly the manifold is coming apart. I own a thin wall tube manifold with brace too, and this would give me an idea of what to keep an eye on.

where do you live? There's a black msm with a huge intercooler parked outside my office in Austin on Airport Blvd. Is it you? Maybe we can hook up after-hours at Oil Can.

Don't forget Sam; English is my second language and when it comes to slang, I've got no clue when I offend someone. I refer to the term "Jew". I know they used to call me "spick" like a big offense, but I never looked up what it meant so it did not.

Im confused.

I meant duh, as in yes, that is why I want to know where he is from.
Jew's gotta stick together. UrbanSoot, 18psi, we are few amongst many. How else are we going to run this country?

Btw, I dont consider "Jew" derogatory. At least I think thats what you are asking. Kike is another thing.

That manifold....my first turbo kit had a manifold exactly like that. It wasn't a BEGI though, it was a cheap chinese knock off. Anyway, it cracked right where the tubes weld to the flange that bolts to the head. I looked awesome, but I believe that on a tubular manifold that is supporting the turbo and sustaining the amount of heat cycles that this application will produce...the only logical thing to do is go with a cast manifold.
-personal opinion.

And Holy **** Dude! Look at your stock compressor inlet compared to the GT28! What a difference. 15 psi with a Hydra? This car is gonna be serious...
