Hello all! I have been an invisible member for quite sometime now and I have decided it is the time to make that dreaded first post so here it goes...

My name is Ryan (20), I am a Network Security/Electronics major at Eastern Kentucky University. I have been into the car thing for a few years now all of which have been NA cars and have wanted to join the boost club for a while now.

I picked up a 90 A package back in May of this year as a second (toy) car ($1500). Which I usually only drive on the weekends. It was bone stock when I picked it up. Had 155k miles, mostly good condition. Only rust on the car is really bad in the floor pan due to leaking window. The rockers and quarters are rust free. And of course a broken finish panel.

Since May, I haven't done a lot to it. Put on ground control coilovers 425/300# springs, paired with Tokico Illuminas, and DIY NB shock mounts. Also found a killer deal on a base OEM hardtop for $200. It doesn't match the car but oh well. The soft top leaked around the driver window and the rear window was trashed so I just removed the soft top all together to free up some weight. Also removed the AC which didnt work in the first place for some reason and would like to rid of power steering if I can find a manual rack for cheap.

And now for the big reason I'm here. I would like to throw together a cheap DIY turbo set up for the stock 1.6. It isn't my daily so I'm not too worried about daily drive-ability. I would like to see around 225whp realistically and that would do me good for a while or until I'm out of college and have the money to play around with. Currently, I am trying to piece together a good set-up (more on the cheaper side). I would like to use the tacotaco manifold if I could find a decent chinacharger to fit it. Hopefully you guys can help me out on that part. I am also planning on building my MS2 around Christmas time when I am home for break and would like to learn to tune the miata myself. First on NA then I'll to have a feel for it when boost comes. I have read the bigger posts on "Everything you need to know about turbo-charging your miata in one big post" which help out tremendously. Now I feel like I have written you all a book, so here are some pictures to enjoy!

It is pretty darn cute if I can say so myself. Definitely gets me flamed on by my stubborn friends.

Welcome aboard. I'm in Portland, OR now but grew up in Madisonville. Family's all still there. I had several swim meets at EKU back in the day.

Get the boost and leave some mullets in the dust, brother :D

I'm not real sure what that mean, but I'll do my best!

Will do when I have pictures to post. Having trouble deciding turbo parts. I force myself to do weeks to months of research before I buy anything lol.
