Default From an evo VIII to a 1990 Miata!

Hello everyone! My name is Chase. I love cars, and I am not going to lie, I never really liked Miatas. My first car (excluding the first couple boring ones) was a 1996 3000gt VR-4, then to an Evo VIII, then briefly owned a 2005 s2000, and now I find myself in a 1990 Mazda Miata. A buddy of mine had this blue 1990 Miata with no power anything, except a/c and a radio, with a hardtop. I had just sold my evo and was driving a red s2000. I took his Miata for a drive and for some reason I really fell in love with it! He actually ended up buying my s2k.

So now I have this 90' Miata with 140k on it. There are definitely some forced induction plans for her, but I am forcing myself to take it easy and research as much as possible before I start diving in. I am a pretty big fan of some of these retro interior builds I have been seeing around, so I'll be tinkering around in the interior while I do my homework on the FI stuff.

Look forward to hearing from you guys.

Welcome to the site.
There is a TON of good information in build threads. Most all of us have done a very good documenting our builds. They will give you great ideas for your own build.

First step I'd take would be roll bar, 1.8 swap with 99/00 head. Wideband and Megasquirt. Then turbo.

True enough, here are some not so fantastic pictures of it. No, I not just drive up to the closest parking lot to take pictures under a light post. I didnt even take a picture of the interior. wtf. Anyways, i did get the sick crazy awesome gauges in a pic, they turned out pretty well.
