Default Socal noob

Hey guys, figured I should post an intro thread, that way the hazing can begin (I've been told it incorporates vasoline, a pineapple, 3' pvc tubing, and a air compressor). I've been reading on this forum for about... two years now (never had ANYTHING of substance to post considering the vast amount of knowledge on this board). I've had 3 miatas in that time span, and at the ripe age of 19 I think I'm ready to settle down with "the one". And by settle down, I mean boost and probably make a ton of mistakes along the way.

Oh, also the new MT.net stickers are "fresh as ****". Thanks for sending me an extra.

Hi there. Any thoughts on what type of turbo setup you are leaning towards?

Well, my parts list from excel goes as follows (1.8L);

MSPNP
WB O2
MBC
Ebay IC / plumbing
GT2554 (or something similar)
Shitty bov
Begi mani
Begi dp
Hopefully call in a favour (beer) for a friend to mandel bend some 3" for my exhaust
v-clamps
Probably braided oil feed/return lines
Various fittings

Initially I would like to run a conservative 8psi or so (figure that's about the limits of stock fuel pump/injectors). I'm really looking for this car to make me a better driver, not be the fastest thing on the track. I'd also like to do most of the tuning myself, but I'll definitely be snagging your base maps

Looks pretty solid. If you're not looking for 300HP etc I would consider just going with 2.5" exhaust. I went from 2.25" to 2.5" and it made a massive difference. I never planned to go higher then 250 so I won't be going any larger with the exhaust. I would suggest installing the megasquirt and wideband 02 right away. Tune it stock, and then pick up some rx7 injectors - they are super cheap and able to support quite a bit of power. Tune your MS for the new injectors, and then put the turbo bits in.

Hey guys, when I made my first post I hadn't even started ordering parts, but now the car is just about finished and running great at 8psi.

So I really wanted to give a big THANKYOU to everyone on the board, specifically:

Reverant (for the MS)
wittyworks (for the hotside)
Falcon (for the coldside)
Brain (for his brain)
and everyone else who has answered my dumb questions along the way.

The car is a ton of fun, and it would've never happened without you guys
