Default Hello from Canada-land

Hey folks, name's Pat, and I love Miata's to say the least!

Unfortunately I don't have one yet, I was looking at one fairly seriously, but had to let it slip through my fingers at the last minute. But that just gives me some more time to get the cash together and spend it in the spring on the car of my dreams, now just to find one.

I'm an autocross/track guy, only been doing it for 3 years but absolutely love it. Goal with the eventual Miata will be a dual purpose track/weekend car, possibly eventual turbo, but no where near term. I'm just hoping to hang out and learn as much as possible before I spend the cash on a car.

I'm in Ottawa, no snow yet, but seems colder than usual for some reason.

Most likely an NA, ideally 94+. I just love the pop-up's, and they're more in the price range I'm thinking. NB's are too bubbly for my tastes, though they are awesome.

**** that, your NA is JDM is it not? LHD FTMFW.

And I don't buy from people in Kingston, I just go through it to get to the St LAC events.

LHD FTW! Although being from ontario(especially ottawa), you could probably score a a 94 RHD for cheap right now. I think JDM Montreal has all of their stock sitting in Ottawa right now because of the legality issues in Quebec with RHD

While possible, it's not something I'd like. Considered it, but the sterotype of a young guy in a RHD car is too prevalent here for me to bother with one. Plus with a LHD car I won't be the last person to know if it's safe to pass that car in front of me on a two lane highway.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I finally found the car I was looking for!

1997, BRG, with 150K KM for $4K. Picked her up 3 weeks ago and been loving it ever since! Came with a manual steering rack too.

Came with a Corksport exhaust, AGX struts, neoprene seat covers (ugh) and HPS pads on her. First autox in RWD was yesterday and I loved it! Great little car, just a bit too much body roll for my taste. Have to work on slowing down inputs and just being smoother if I'm going to pull everything out of this car.
