Hello! I have a Classic Red (bet you haven't seen one of those before) 1990 Miata that is currently (hopefully not for long) N/A. I came to learn everything I need to turbo my Miata by buying everything separately on a pretty strict budget. Hopefully I can have it done by the spring time!

Welcome fellow Floridian. Might I suggest updating your profile to show your location.
My my first new car was a white 1990 way back in 1990. Tell us your goals. |

A word of advice. Spend some serious time reading stickies and various threads about building proper motors and turbo systems. If you are truly serious about a high horsepower car, you will probably change your mind in what’s the best path for your build.
Be patient. Miataturbo’s college of knowledge will not lead you astray. You will have to work for it, but it’s worth it. |
Welcome aboard, looks like you got yourself a very interesting and exciting project. If you ever have any questions or need assistance with finding parts for your Miata, let us know we will be glad to help you!

Trying to make 400 horsepower out of the 1.6 is about like trying to make a rocket ship out of a banana. Being shaped similarly to something that can do the job doesn't make it able to do the job.
