Noob in VA

Just registered and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm Paul from Virginia. I've had a 93 Miata for a year or so and just purchased a used Greddy kit to add to it. My goal is to road race this car so I'm hoping more for reliability than straight speed. I've been lurking on here awhile and decided to get my login once my kit arrived.

Thanks for all the archived info. The search function will be my friend.

I'm in Richmond. I've done some trackdays down at VIR. I haven't made it to Summit Pt yet.

Banned? Me? :noob:

I'll work on avoiding landmines in the future. ;)

nova area. by dulles airport. You should make your way to summit point this weekend. pretty big drift event going on. Free entry for spectators!!!

Braineack 05-19-2008 08:28 PM

Does Richmond still smell awful?

A few of us here from Virginia Beach.

I really need to have a get together at my house to put my car back together. You VA pepes will be invited (as long as Matt gets his welder back). And hey, if I get my car together and off the lift, it will be available for other work.

Richmond is a haul though, as is VA beach.

Not as many MD members here.

Frank

Thanks Newbsauce. I've found quite a bit just from lurking the last few months.

Thanks! I'm not adverse to driving so doing DC or VA beach isn't out of the question for a meetup or parts swap.

Hyperfest is it? I'm afraid I'm out of town this weekend. The g/f is a rock climber so we're heading to the New River Gorge so she can rock out. I was tempted to take the Miata but she's jacked about driving her Scion up there...

Just that one part by 95. Sucks don't it? Anyone using I95 to go north or south passes through the worst part of Richmond. A bit like Erik the Red naming Iceland, well..Iceland, even though it was the nicest new continent he'd found. "Keep on moving Yankees. Nothing good here. It just smells bad all the time. Yup, no reason to stay." ;)

I saw a posting for a dyno day in VA Beach awhile back. I didn't respond as I wasn't anywhere near ready.
