Default NOOB from Ontario

I'm Josh. Just bought a 93' LE about 6 months ago and can't wait till spring comes back. Don't have a current picture of the minor mods and fixes I've done to the car but as of right now its fairly stock.

Can't wait to see all the miatas! Heres mine when I first got it. 240,000km but in good shape.

Look forward to lurking and posting

- Coilovers
- New clutch/flywheel, either ACT stage 2 or FM
- Turbo

If anyone has recommendations for clutch's please let me know. As well as coils, not sure which is the best bang for your buck, budget is about $1300USD for them.

Find the DIY Bilstein thread.

I have the ACT XTSS and really like it.

Once broken in, the FM2 clutch is pretty good for daily driving. An FM1 is probably closer to stock like feel but can hold the tq.

IMO, You should replace 'turbo' with 'megasquirt' and learn to tune your stock setup before diving into a turbo project.

Yes. I was planning on adding megasquirt to my build. Glad to hear more people recommend it though

Hey man,

I'm in Ontario as well, you should check out Dave's Garage in Oakville.

Dave is a great guy, his shop specializes in Miata's and he always has a ton of oem and aftermarket parts kicking around for great prices.

He does all the work on my car and hundreds of other Miata's in Ontario.

Just sent out and email, it's a 3 hour drive but feels like nothing in a fun little miata

Hook up with miataphiles.ca. They are based in and around Toronto and have tech meets and a bunch of smartass members so you can learn to do a bunch of it yourself.

For your megasquirt needs, Matt at MTMotorsport is a wizard.
