If the rust really is that bad, dump the car and buy one that isn't. It seems like you don't drive it in the wintertime so it'll be worth it. You may have to travel. Is it real expensive to import a car from the US? A shame after all the work you put into it though.
It is expensive when you consider I have to borrow my dad's truck and trailer, pay for gas, pay for the car/shell and bring it back here. Then I have to pay the taxes on it when I cross the border. Then comes having it registered, if it comes with a title that is. Last but not least, it may cost me 1000$, but it is a 1000$ usd. Our dollar is worth 79 cents of a USD right now, that's 21% lost right there. the taxes are really the biggest pain around here. 15% on everything. |
