Hi,

a new member here by the name Samuel. I have my MX-5 for almost 3 years and it's a pretty lame 66kW 1.6 with intercooled Garrett turbo setup. In the past 2 years I also managed to throw at it an Exedy Stage 1 clutch, T2 torsen, Carbing 6-point roll bar and some other stuff. I guess that's it for now (also I'm happy I finally found a thread/topic where I can post). I'm here mainly because my skills regarding ECU tuning are pretty lame and my VEMS ECU either runs rich or knocks like hell... So I'll be looking into that

Are you going to make us guess where you are?

I smell the lingering influence of Soviet communism.

Thanks. Well, it's not Russia (sorry for disappointment), but you're right, until '89 it was that way (back then I was only 2 years old tho) :) I added the location to my profile, I did not realize it was not there.

Ha! I knew it!

My family came to the US in the 60s, and I remember very clearly watching on TV first the German reunification, and then the collapse of the USSR. It was a big deal for us, and everyone assumed that Cuba would open up next.

It's taking rather longer than was expected...

Anyway, welcome!

Well, I guess the more poor the country is, the more difficult is for them to free from (any) regime... Luckily for me I was able to grow up and live in a free country - despite the fact we're still far behind the "west", it could be much worse :)

I live in the Appalachian mountains on the east coast of the USA, and man they should be called Appalachian gently rolling hills compared to that. Sweet pic, and nice to have met you Samuel.

You just made me laugh a lot with your gently rolling hills

Actually it was shot in Italy and we were on our way to Gavia Pass (and Stelvio pass on the next day). We have similar hills in Slovakia, but you can't get there by car.
