Hi All!
I'm a long time lurker. I've been silently hanging around since 2009 when I bought my first Miata. I currently have three Miatas. I daily drive and ES autocross a 2002 LS and co-own a 97 base model with my daughter.

My third Miata is a 96 M-Edition with some major cosmetic problems. It's basically lost all of it's M-Edition value, but the chassis is completely rust free and straight. I bought the 96 to convert to a D prepared autocross car.
Being an "old guy", I'm 46, and not all that strong on modern engine control, I decided it's time to man up and introduce myself. I figure I'm going to need some advice on the wiring and ECU side. Honestly, I basically suck at that stuff. I frequent all of the major Miata forums and this site is by far the strongest for technical advice. I've got a 2001 VVT motor and engine wiring harness sitting in my garage and I'm kinda dreading the merging of the two wiring looms and stripping them to the bare minimum needed to run the car.
Anyway, I'll shut up, glad to be on board.

Hi Aidan, Hmmm..... I didn't go to the PCA event. Must have been someone else. My daughter is still learning to drive the manual transmission. I'm hoping she'll co-drive in E-Street with me next year. My wife is next on the manual transmission transmission training list. She's going to be doing some co-driving in the DP car, although she doesn't know it yet.

I do quite a bit of business at AR. Great folks over there.

I'm planning to do a MS PnP Pro NB2 model. I'm going to work my way through all the wiring over the winter and build a merged loom with the 01 engine harness and the remaining 96 wiring. Since the car will be open with no windshield I'm converting all the relays to marine grade hardware. It's a long term project. I'm shooting to run in DP class in 2017.

Rule #1 for oregon miata owners, don't take any advice from Aiden, you may end up dead or severely injured.
Other than that carry one, there's a few vvt swapped cars happily running around the area

Martin is still a little scared from our off-road adventure last year.
