Welcome to the forum. I think we have another member here from Portugal. I know we have a few from Spain and all around the continent. What are your plans with the car? Track days or just enjoying curvy roads?
We would be happy to help with your search for more power and better suspension and brakes. I have old cars, too. 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible and 1969 Austin Healey Sprite right now. Both a little rusty. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1412123229 |
Thanks for joining, djballs!

But now I go to get the idea this compressor 1.6(m45). so I came here peeking which allowed it to better |
The m45 is not a good unit for much power. It is easier and more reliable to make more power than an m45 with a small turbo. Also the 1.6 has a small nose on the front of the crankshaft that is not good for driving a supercharger. They break without a supercharger
The 1.8 engines are better. The 1.8 cars have larger brake rotors. The 1.6 rear differentials are weak and break under stock power. The 1.8 rear ends are much stronger. Also, the 1.8 engines have a variable throttle position sensor, which is much better for tuning with the aftermarket engine computer. |
