Should I purchase a warranty?

Hello everyone. Happy to be here since I just purchased a red 2004 Mazda MX-5 Mazda Speed with only 9800 miles on it. Yes, its under 10K miles. I found it on craigs list and I was a bit suspicious about the mileage. But, I ran a carfax, talked to the dealer that had been servicing it and when I test drove it, it still drove and smelled brand new. When I took it in for an oil change I asked about extended warranties through Mazda. They offer a 36 month/ 36K mile warranty for about $900.00, and a $100.00 copay for each visit. I paid just under $13K for the car. So I was wondering if I should get the warranty. It covers all electrical, suspension, engine, transmission, turbo. Pretty much everything but wear and tear items. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Thoughts? Make sure to get the optional lip stick dispenser and dildo shift knob or your car will be unreliable.

An extended warranty is the biggest scam ive ever heard of.

The only thing i'd be worrying about with that car is the lines and gaskets, since it obviously wasn't driven.

If it were ME, i wouldn't buy the warranty. But if you're not car-inclined, the warranty doesn't sound HORRIBLE, but not great either. Aftermarket warranties aren't great.

Nice pick up, though! You got it for well under book i think! :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. BTW 18PSI, thanks for the recommendation, but arent those additional options weighing down your miata?

It's difficult for me to imagine anything costing $1,000 or more and which would be covered by any warranty happening to what is essentially still a new car within the next 36 months.

You just got burned by the new kid, homie. Take it like a man.

lol, but seriously. You are entering a world of reliability that is rarely seen in the automotive industry. I wouldn't even think twice about needing a warranty for a miata. Save that cash for some upgrades. The MSM can be turned into a GREAT street car with just bolt-ons and still be reliable, just as fun and less slow :giggle:

haha thanks guys. Fine, I wont get the warranty.
