Default Hello from Los Angeles Area

Hello everybody, my name is Derique, I just bought a 1996 Miata with 116,XXX. I'd been thinking about getting a Miata for some time, and insurance totaling my car after an accident(not my fault) was the perfect opportunity. It's black with a dented front driver fender and slightly torn window stitching.

My plans are big for the car, full cage, suspension, turbo, and [mostly] no expenses spared. But those things are some ways off, for now I plan regular maintenance things. Water pump/timing belt, all fluids, pads and rotors, the works.

I have good knowledge of simple/older cars. For instance, I'm an apprentice technician at Audi and all of the electrical and sensors involved is insane to me. I am 18 years old and just moved to Pomona for said job. I have good fabrication skills, I own a welder and just love to build/invent things.

Looking forward to being a part of this forum and hope to contribute a few big build threads in the future!
