the car has 130k on the body and 45k on the rebuild
mine had 86k original miles. It was a good csar but just too damn much to maintain. This is my first Miata but ive owned around 15 RX-7's so i am familiar with the MAzda way....Hope to get some good responses! BTW it does have the 1.8 diff!

Welcome, That would have been a hard decision for me to make. That Porsche looked really nice, but I love my Miata!

ya it was a hard one but honestly the miata is really nice too man and the fact that it costs way to omuch to maintain the 944 was the real deal maker.

+1....before I bought my miata the 951 (turbo 944 for those that don't know) was on my short list of possible toy cars...I LOVE them!

Damn, now I'm second guessing myself :giggle:

The 944 was a 85 sable brown metallic. Non turbo of course. I really liked the car but it was just too much money to maintain, i had to pay nearly 1100 dollars to change the clutch. And its about the same to have the timing cahin and water pump replaced wich is a critical issue with all 944's.

I love the 951 too but if you think that the N/a 944 is alot to maintain its about double for the turbo 951.

lol well believe me dude if i had a 951 like that one yo would have to kill me to get that thing from outta my garage! What a gem....
