Hi Guys,

Lurked these forums for a while however never signed up.

Previously owned a 1999 Mazda 1.8 sport, racing bronze - N/A that has a total of only 65,000 Miles on it
I've owned this car for around 6 Months now, and I was originally planning to Turbo this myself however after browsing through Ebay each day I finally came across a turbo'd MX5 that spoke to me.

As of today - I am now an owner of a 10th Edition Mazda MX5 Turbocharged - the specs of the car at present are;

1.8ltr
6 speed
Stainless exhaust system
Emerald stand alone ECU
Turbo conversion running approx 13psi
Front Mount intercooler
Greedy wastegate
Blitz dump valve
Correct plugs recently fitted
Just had oil and filter change.
Lowering springs.
Updated anti roll bars front and rear.
Welded diff
17" Kiosie alloys
Bradded brake lines
Strut brace
Boost gauge
Roll bar
74,00 miles

Don't have any of my own pictures at present but took a few of the listing to show;

I am now currently broke until I'm paid or sell my other car (hopefully soon)

Things I need to get -
New clutch/flywheel. At the moment it's like trying to find the Gspot for a girl - difficult. However I'm getting use to it but it's definitely not something I want to deal with to long.
Get a new Hard top - just look baller.
Fix the stereo (Buy an aftermarket headunit basically).
Fix the front bumper as there a split which has been zip tied
Clean up the engine bay - Paint etc

- would like some suggestions if at all possible?

The car looks great, always been a fan of that colour.

I'm surprised the PO turbocharged a 10AE. As a limited edition it's worth more stock than modified.

What's with the welded diff? I thought these came with a LSD.

For the cheap options:

Wrinkle Black will do wonders for the rusty intercooler plumbing and rocker cover - if you can get Wrinkle Blue to match the car colour that'd be even "purdier" for the rocker cover.

For the front strut brace you could use roll bar paint:

(not sure if you can use this on the intercooler plumbing - may be too hot for it).

Forget about the stereo - you wont listen to it much anyway unless you're stuck in traffic. If you must have it, keep it as cheap as possible, no point getting a high-end system in a convertible (also makes your car less likely to be broken into).

Down the track:

15" or 16" rims are MUCH nicer on NA/NBs, the ride and handling are much improved, and tyres are cheaper.

The MSM came with 17" rims and those of us that switched to smaller rims tend not to return to them.

Cheers lad's - first thing to now do is after taking it out for a spin, my front tire decided to blow out and i'm now sitting on space saver  Soooo - new tires and clutch needed.
