Got the new shelf metal and looks better
Attachment 88978 Car then started to overheat but not badly enough to worry about the block. Turns out it was a heater hose that had a small hole in it spraying out coolant. Fixed that. Then cylinder one went down, the wire was lighting up like a sparkler so got new wires and plugs. Car is running well now. Going to try and sell my NC and I'd have $3k to spend. So many directions I can spend it on. 1) 15x9 6UL+hardtop+exhaust+front and rear sway bars 2) Öhlin DFV coilovers 3) EFR 7064 .92A/R IWG twinscroll and absurdflow twinscroll equal length ramhorn manifold (a bit more than $3k) |
Also Toda makes some nice cam selections for the BP so I think I'm going to go with their 272 cams and the under bucket lifter kit or whatever they call it.
That will all be later on, just trying to get an idea of what I want to do with the car. I guess with the $3k I can start getting prepared for FI. Pistons Rods Cams Valves Lifter kit Etc Then keep those parts around until I have the fuel, turbo, manifold, engine management ready. A lot to do, so little money |
Budgets suck. Good luck with the build :)

The wet package tray area can often be traced to a bad rain rail or incorrectly installed top, unless the previous old top was just ratty for a long time. Sometimes people make the mistake of replacing the top and reusing the factory rain rail, which is often brittle and will leak. The Robbins soft rubber rain rails are much better.

Pretty sure I need a new steering rack too... Whole thing is clunking. One inner tie rod is bad but other is solid and whole rack is making a clunking sound
