whats up going to start my turbo miata build

whats up guys,
In the works is my 1.6 turbo DD build. Basically I use to be an rx7 guy (well still kinda am) but bought a miata about 2 years ago as a dd. Now I love the car :). any ways ive built or help build several turbo cars (my huge street port fc rx7 with a borg warner s300 on it. several rb series 240s. and a few other cars).

as for the miata i love it. its a grate daily but its slow :( so to put some pep in its step im going to turbo it. My goal for it is 150-175hp. Im really not looking for that much lol just enough to have fun around the mountain roads where i live.

I plan on doing this this summer. I'm going mega squirt because its cheep and easy to tune. prob going to get an ebay cast mani and build the rest of the exhaust work. Im still going to run a cat and a hopefully quite exhaust (remember DD).

Im about to do a 1.8 brake up grade. Dont worry im not a typical noob that dosnt search :loser: . (caliper brackets, rotors and pads from a 1.8)

any who got to head off but ill be back later.

later
Marshall

PS. sorry for the a.d.d. paragraphs lol

turbos are laggy. miatas are built for response. it'll make your car slower.

Why upgrade brakes on a DD? The 1.6'ers stop just fine, and I doubt you can overheat them on the street. More unsprung weight. just sayin'

haha im not worried about weight. i would rather be able to stop better when there are dumb people that pull out in front of you. Plus i need brakes all around so whats an extra 60-100 bucks for some caliper brackets. I also live in the mountains during the school year and make several trips to the dragon a year (http://www.tailofthedragon.com/). So the question is why wouldn't i?

Only weight, cost, and sexual dysmorphia. On the street, if you can't lock the wheels with the stock 1.6 brakes and OEM pads, then there's a problem.

On the other hand, welcome to the forum, and be sure to try the lobster bisque. Now would also be an appropriate time to share pictures of your cat. :bigtu:
