Yo from albany, ga

Name is Justin, AGE 22, Bought a white 1992 Miata for 1600, get some pics in a minute, orginally was told something about oil pump may have gone out but after doing a teardown I believe it to be not bad, probably the oil sending unit or electronics messed up, need cleaning. So currently the miata is waitting for either the engine to be rebuilt or me to find another working engine.

Engine had\has 186K miles on it, same with body and trans.

Some pics

Have to clean out the interior, when I have some time.
Yes I like sitting that far up when I drive even being 5' 10~11"

Found metal shavings in the oil pan and it looks like they are from the bearings crank and rod. I'm looking to do a turbo build after I get a running engine again. probably source the turbo manifod\turbo\downpipe and do the the rest DIY

The kid I did buy it from also glued the air filter into the air box since he ran it open :( But that can allways be fixed somehow.

Welcome!
Put your location in your PROFILE (so nobody has to ask you where you're from), and put your car information in your SIGNATURE (so nobody ever has to ask you what car you drive).

You're in luck being from Georgia, there's a HUGE turbo-Miata crowd in the Atlanta area. You should have no problem finding a replacement motor if you make some friends.

There's a dedicated Atlanta Miata Forum that has some good participation too... join there and make yourself known: MX5 Miata Atlanta Owners Club - Powered by vBulletin
