$40 wideband
Any of you use this? Not bad for the price. Granted, it wont have top end resolution, but its leagues better then a NB and even cheaper then some of them.

This was posted months ago. Just search JAW. What do you mean it won't have top end resolution?
|
sorry, guess im not quite used to the search.
I say that because the designer himself admited that it does not calculate. Instead it looks up values, so it shows say 14.73 and then 15.37 but nothing in between. Still, this is far better than any NB and most user wont notice. |
please show me where you read that? I have read everything on the site and the forum and havent seen that.
|
Agreed.... I have one ready to be picked up actually.... There was a group buy on the local board here. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it installed next week... if I can get a bung put on the exhaust......
Dave, |
all it does it take the sensors readings, and outputs them. How can it not read between 14.7 and 15.3? the sensors output is linear, there not much to it. it shoudl work jsut as good as any other WBO2 controller out there.
|
Yes the output is there, but the controller he programmed is not the best. I mean, granted, if your looking at this thing your not looking for the best. It does GREAT, its just an interesting tidbit.
He states that it uses look up tables and not calculations. http://msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=26503 |
ok i see what you mean
http://www.panaster.com/Asteris/phot...rious/JAW1.JPG yeah, so if you format the table to only output from 20:1 to 10:1 you'd gain all that resolution back.... |
You can't edit the first two columns within the software. Hopefully he'll update the firmware so that this could be an option, which doesn't seem too bad because it's just changing the constant values that already exist to variables input in the same matrix where Vout1 and Vout2 can be input. Of course he'll have to worry about available memory on the chip.

$45+$70 for the sensor = $115. You can get an LC-1 for $180-$190 on ebay. I would just skip this one unless I had to have 1 sensor per cylinder on a V8 (or I really didn't care about accuracy and I couldn't affor 70-80 more bucks).

I have one, just haven't gotten around to assembling it yet.
