01 DIYPnP to 91 harness

Hey guys,

So i got a great deal on a 2001 DIYPNP that I couldn't pass up, and I've done some research.

I know it will take some effort and I will either need to create a harness adapter to go from obd2 to obd1, or re-pin the stock harness.

Can I get some input on this? I personally think its worth any effort because I'm paying pennies on the dollar for this ECU.

I did read somewhere from 2010 about asking braineack nicely about making a harness adapter :giggle:

Edit: I'd even rather spend months making my own harness adapter than have to re-pin the stock harness to the 2001+ pinout, since the car is my daily I hopefully wouldn't eff it up too much

edit 2: I’m an idiot and can do the exact thing said below by making changes to the DIYPNP. Now that I’ve done the research on DIY auto tune I can understand what to do

Thanks guys!

Maybe you’re thinking of needing a patch harness for MSPNP. DIYPNP’s have many options as far as far as what vehicles they can be used for you just need to solder the right connector onto the main board. I don’t know if they sell it separately.. but I’m sure you can source one somehow. I’d start with making sure you can get the parts you need and verify how the board was put together. Check DIY and the trubokitty website to see what connections might need changed on the board itself.

Oh. You're probably right and I just didn't think well enough. This will probably fix my problems :bowrofl:

I bought it for $200 so I'm willing to do anything to make the bitch work. Thanks! I'll do some research at home for those sites because neither works on my work computer.
