Default laptop processor/speed

What kind of laptop are you guys using to tune? I've been watching them on Ebay and I'm debating on what I really need.

I have a 2ghz dual core duo that i just got but i know some of the guys use $50 specials running 300 mhz and 300 mb of ram and they work just fine.
Cheap FTW if it's going to stay in the car all the time.

I've got next to no ram...on the one I just picked up, hopefully it will run MS.

My old Toshiba Portege (Pentium 3 with 512MB RAM) works fine, but it doesn't have an in-built serial port so I have to use the USB conversion cable.

I typically use a nearly new Dell Latitude for tuning cars here at the shop, but my home tuning computer is an old Panasonic Toughbook CF-27. Painfully slow, but it does run MegaTune with no trouble. As a general rule, if it can run Windows 95, it can run MegaTune.

FWIW: I used a my Win95 (ascention 910) only drawback is no CD drive and only a 14K modem.. and the verizon DSL wouldn't fit on it...
But it runs my ZT-2, MS and both EMB's...
