1990 with diypnp first start please help!

Hey All,

Finished building my diypnp and got my car to start. I used the 1.6 base map on the ms site.

I used a gm iat and a innovative mtx-l wideband.

I used the db15 port for the wideband power/gnd/o2 as per another forum to make it plug and play. It seems to be working fine.

The car starts and idles - but it is pig rich at 10.0. When i rev it slightly it leans out.

I've decreased the fuel ve 1 table dramatically, but it has no effect on afr.

I'm kind of stuck - i'm wondering if something isn't configured right. Obviously i dont' want to idle the car forever at a 10.0 - something isn't right.

I attached a quick log where i idled the car and reved it slightly. Any help anyone could provide would be awesome!

Also, to setup the mtx-l in the afr calibration window - i selected the lc1... Is this correct? It seems to be matching what the gauge says pretty closely.

Your MAP is wrong. Make sure you selected the right MAP sensor in project settings and that it is wired correctly.

Oh i see what you're talking about, the ambient map starts out at 141 kPa, so the car basically thinks it's in 6psi of boost at idle.

It idles in the upper left of the map.

I confirmed that i selected the MPX4250 - which is the 2.5 bar sensor.

Is it possible i got a bad sensor?

This is my sensor calibration window:

fix your MAP sensor.

Ok i tweaked the map sensor calibration and now it reads 102.7 atmospheric.

The weather report here in CT confirms 102 for pressure.

I gave it a go and leaned the map slightly, it idles pretty damn well now at 14.7ish.

I attached the data log of a quick start and slight rev. I still need to set base timing, but it's running 100% better. (obviously i won't be driving it/tuning it more without setting timing)

Can someone look at my log and see if they see anything obviously wrong still? I'm really new to this.

Thanks for the help so far guys!
