1994 no dash tach MS1
I have a 94 with a MS1 3.0 the tach on the dash isn't working but the MS reads the rpms but the tach just sits at 0. I was under the impression 94's didn't have to have the MS run the tach did a search didn't come up with anything except for the late 95's.
Any info would be great. |
This is actually my car I just didn't change user names.
Any who little more info, the MS has the rpm and knows what it's at but my tach doesn't have an input. Does the 94 need something wired to the MS for the tach output for the gauge cluster? I can plug the stock ECU back in and the tach works again. Sorry if I'm being confusing MS noob. |
94-95's don't have the tach from the MS unit. It goes directly from the coilpacks. You'll want a 1k resistor in the diag box for the tach pullup. I believe it's Ig- and B+
If that doesn't work, you could always route a wire to the tach directly from an output wired from the MS :P |
