550cc injector crew: ITT you will post your cold-start tables

Thanks. I'm, tired of fouling plugs below 55*f, so please only post if you're tuned at and below that #.
I could "just tune it" but my battery is dying and I don't have much time so I'd rather let you do all the work for me while I demand answers. You may also post LINKED nudes of your girlfriends in here.

edit: stock FPR too, preferably with a Walbro 225.

gospeed81 02-18-2010 09:55 AM

just in time, my 550s come in this week, and I don't want to fight issues that you've been stressing over already, so I'll just read the answers you garner.

subscribed for nudes as well

At work now without my laptop. Once I get home I'll post the numbers. I'm running 550's with a walboro 190 and toyota COPs. I started the car up the other day with no problems and it was about 30 degrees out.

Braineack 02-18-2010 10:30 AM

Shouldn't be a big deal with cold starts and 550cc injectors. Are you simply injecting too much fuel during cranking?

Finding a good VE Cell for the ASE fixed map timer is key to a good idle off the bat, then just tune the WU shit by hand. I guess it helps that I would lug the laptop out with me each morning to get it right.

FWIW, I would run ASE for 15 seconds, and a fixed MAP time period of 5 seconds.

those are ms/10 so add a zero or something.

RC550 low impedance
stock 2001 fuel pressure of uhh 53-61 psi per manual.

hustler 02-18-2010 11:21 AM

E is not my broblem, it's cranking. I could Jack with it but rme is not on my side knight. I fly in at 9, must bang the gf, fix th fuel rail, pick up the trailer, then fix cold start, then have the gf BEng me Belgian beer in bed while I recieved oral.

Braineack 02-18-2010 11:40 AM

I'd give you my numbers scaled for a 1.8L and 550s but I use 14.7 as my AFR multiper to get the required fuel, not 12.7 or whatever DIY uses.

@Brain - what values are you using now with MS2? (on your 1,6 with 460cc irc)

Do you do sequential injection?

Braineack 02-18-2010 01:10 PM

not sequential. I'll have to upload my MSQ later. It's been starting and idling beautifully (with oem aic) in 20*F weather.

levnubhin 02-18-2010 01:34 PM

My IAC is unplugged, 190 walbro and was 49* this morning.

i stand by my values down to 15F. and I meant subtract a zero.

wtf.my table is leaner than yours and my car won't start when cold:

maybe its my hyper-fucked ASE table

but it fouls plugs and they're wet with fuel when I take them out.

Braineack 02-19-2010 09:01 AM

change your "fixed when below" to 80*, fixed map valve under ASE to 60, and the timer to 5 seconds. just try that. your ASE table seems to be pretty much disabled... Look how mine is set:

what's your REQ_FUEL value? acutally, can you post your MSQ.

hustler 02-19-2010 09:08 AM

I can email or you can point me to a host.

req_fuel is 5.7

hustler 02-19-2010 09:10 AM

Please explain the relationship between the 75kpa column value and the fixed-map value. I'm obviously a rock scientist.

Braineack 02-19-2010 09:22 AM

if my coolant is under 80*F, for a period of 5 seconds, it fuels off a specific map value off my VE table. If you log at startup, you can see the MAP value holds flat and then decays out.

If you're map isn't tuned in the area, and you have too high or low a number, it'll run like shit during that period. That might be your problem.

Right now you don't even use that function as you're probably never under 20*f coolant, and then if you ever do, you're fueling for a period of 30 cycles at your 35 kPa map value, pretty much right where you always idle at. I find if I used to high or low of a map value right after I would start the car, especially when cold, it'd run like asshole until things stabilized.

you can attached your MSQ to a post.

Thanks,
I'll make those adjustments.
