AEM UEGO 6 in 1 = AEM Linear AEM-30-42xx

Just wanted to confirm if I have a AEM 6in1 UEGO controller, do I go to 'tools', 'calibrate AFR table', and under EGO Sensor I select 'AEM Linear AEM-30-42xx'

Then write to controller?
Or do I have to mess with the custom linear wb at all?

Thanks

Your controller is part number 30-4100. Does that fit 30-42xx?

I was thinking all aem would have same value.
So should I use custom linear wb and plug in the values for point 1 & 2?

Halcyon 04-10-2012 09:04 PM

Ah thanks for the link.

1.09v - 12.18
4.06V - 18.10

I am sure I did mine wrong, or the hard way. I modified the aemWBo2.inc file in the TunerStudioProjects/MyCar/inc folder

Entering the 2 values under custom I'm about 1.0 off.
If i use aem linear I'm about .7 off.
I dont see any inc file in the inc folder.
Where else would it be and how do I modify it?
Is your readings pretty accurate?

Halcyon 04-13-2012 09:59 PM

bump

Halcyon 04-15-2012 11:51 PM

anyone?

Matt Cramer 04-16-2012 12:38 PM

A lot of AEMs have pretty sloppy tolerances on their output; you often have to tinker with the settings to get things to read correctly. You may have to measure its output to find out what the real curve is.

Halcyon 04-16-2012 06:28 PM

Whats the easiest method to measure without a regulated power supply?
Could the variation also stem from a bad ground from either the aem wb and the ms2?

Matt Cramer 04-17-2012 09:45 AM

It's possible a ground offset has made the problem even worse, yes.

Your best bet if the ground offset problems are fixed is to just use a volt meter and take notes on what it's reading vs what the gauge is displaying.

Halcyon 04-18-2012 03:54 AM

I think I had the wrong idea about taking the reading.
I thought you meant using a power source of 1v and 4v and take the reading from the gauge. Thought about it more and realized to just take the reading off the white wire. Now I just need it to stay steady enough for me to get an accurate reading. :)

Halcyon 04-19-2012 01:31 AM

Originally I had both ground from WB15 going to 2a.
I took the other ground from wb15 along with the ground from the wb and connected them to 2c. The readings from the wb and the reading from TS were closer.

I tried to take a couple of readings but it kept jumping around so it's probably not too accurate. After putting in those readings, along with the new grounds, I'm .1 off. The closest I've been yet.

I took a video of the wb along with a volt meter. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more accurate readings and get rid of the .1 variance as well.

At what afr did you grab your points. I had a strange event where I used to be .3 off at the most. I changed to TS 1.37 and ms3 beta 20 and suddenly I was off by about .7.

I moved my AEM ground to the signal ground instead of the chassis ground. This has me at .2 max using the default 42xx linear calibration.

Halcyon 04-22-2012 03:36 PM

I'm currently using the default 42xx.
I moved both the db15 and wb to signal ground and got the change.

I looked at the video I took of the wb and voltage.
Jotted down some number and they look nothing like the charts numbers for gasoline.
More like the numbers for CNG. But then again there might be a delay from what's showing on wb and what's showing on meter or vise versa.
