Default possible ignitor retardation (tach rpm gone)

Alright, yet another chapter in my saga to get this box working.

Went outside, plugged in the MS to the parallel harness, flipped on the ignition to see if it was getting power. Some of the LEDs turned on, so all's well. Popped the hood to unplug the coils and the ignitor was hot. Same **** as the last time I burned it when I flashed with it plugged in.

I get worried, but I already have my **** plugged in so I worked out the issues I had flashing it before (******* gave me a null modem cable), get into hyperterm just fine, flash the ******. Get the settings right in Megatune, verify connectivity.. all things read perfect, no resets like before. Plug in ignitors, try and start the car.. doesn't turn over.

Go back to stock ECU, start the car.. it catches and appears to be working just fine but the tach reads zero. I must have somehow fucked the ignitor again, yes? Goddammit

Idiotic question 2: I can't tell if the car seems down on power/etc, think it's fine to drive ~30 miles back to my rents house? I already have another ignitor ordered ($20.. cheap!), but I need to get it home soon anyway.

Hopefully this is the last post I make about this banal bullshit.
