Air intake temp
If I understand correctly, the stock IAT sensor on a NA is built into the airflow meter. Has anybody figured out the resistance scale for this sensor so I can use this instead of installing a GM sensor. I'm trying to leave everything under the hood as stock as possible so I can plug the stock ECU back in for emissions testing. I could just install the extra sensor and run another wire, but I'd prefer not to if I can get away with it.
Thanks :wavey: |
Check out the msefi forum. There is a post on there somewhere (I found it ages ago but I can't remember which section it was in) about the resistance of the factory Mazda temp sensors.
Try a search of 'Mazda and Temperature and Sensors'. It should come up. |
I searched there a few different ways and didn't find anything. Could I just figure it out with easytherm? I haven't tried it yet, but from what I've seen I just need 3 temp vs. resistance reading at points as far apart as possible?

You'll have to figure it out with a pot of water heating on the stove, a multimeter and a decent thermometer. Then once you have your resistance readings for the different temps, you can use EasyTherm to do your temp tables for the MS.
