Airbag light after MSPNP install?
I have an aftermarket wheel in my car and removed the driver's airbag years ago. I installed the resistors to fool the stock ECU to remove the flashing light.
This has worked for me with the stock ECU and the Link, but I guess the MSPNP doesn't like it. Is there an easy fix or am I removing the airbag light bulb? |
I thought the airbag had its own seperate computer?

climb under the dash. There's a small blue rectangular box positioned slightly above the steering column. There's a smaller blue box mounted right next to it on a bracket. The larger box is the airbag computer. The smaller box is the backup battery to the airbag computer. If you unplug the harnesses to both blue boxes, you will eliminate the airbag light and you will not get a buzz.
as for the mspnp causing an airbag light, FWIW, it did the same thing to me on my car. |

got an aftermarket wheel in my 94 and did the resistor trick to fool the system. airbag light stays off and continues to stay off when i swap in my MSPNP.
