Anyone got a base fuel map for a 99-00?
I''ve recently got my MS up and running and now it's time for tuning.
As there are no PnP maps for the 99-00 cars (it's VE im after) I'm wondering if anyone would care to share their map? I've been trying to tune my VE table from the 96 PnP VE Table for a few evenings now but the figures are quite a bit out. i.e. map is far too rich that the LC-1 reads lean and therefore MLV will generate incorrect data from this occurance. Cheers, Craig |
Is your req fuel set correctly?
I started from a MSPNP base map with no problems. Should also work for you with a 94+ base map. Is your LC-1 working correctly? |
I can't confirm the req fuel as Im at work at the moment. Im on stock injectors with stock pressure so what values should I have in there?
My LC-1 is perfect. I did have trouble with it throwning heater calibration codes at me, but since soing a full re-cal it's been fine and showed good idle AFRs on the stock fuel table of ~ 14.7:1. I then switched control of the fuel to the MS and have since been finding it hard to tune the table past 4krpm at light loads when up to full operating temp. It's also worth noting that my MS has no TPS input form my car, Im running it off the MS MAP sensor. I followed your install schematic for my car and all worked perfectly - thanks for that Zaphoid! Any base tables or req fuel info to compare to mine would be appriciated. |
never mind, as you were, just noticed you have a parallel ms1 setup.

Here is a .msq that I used to run on my '99 when I ran MS-1 in parallel with the stock injectors. I think I used to run about 7psi on this one. I didn't open it, I just read the title...(I had it stored in my .msq archive). Try it out for your comparing or whatever you need it for.

you're a fucking idiot.

I think, what Hustler tries to tell you - you need to connect the TPS.

If this car has the standard 1.6 electronics and the binary tps, then its fine unhooked with some work. I don't run the TPS at all and it drives wonderfully. Actually, I get a lot of shit for it, but it drives wonderfully. |

Nothing wrong about asking a VE table. I'd call him smart to ask for one instead of just throwing in some random numbers and hoping it'll be ok. Did your VE table became populated out of thin air? Or did someone else do it for you while you were crying for help? He would be even smarter if he asked for a AFR table, but even then, he'd need the VE as well. Try this with stock injectors, req fuel 12.8, 2 squirts, Injector opening time 0.92. Raise every cell with say 10% (percent, not points) to be on the rich side. Better to tune down on fuel than to tune up. As you're running a SC, you probably need more fuel over the entire range anyway. Make sure you hook up that TPS (5V to 2I, TPS on 3E). Only one guy on this forum feels you can do without TPS and use the MAP sensor instead and he has a habit of insulting people :jerkit:. http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/326/fuelb.png http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/4875/afru.png |
Frank, you might want to try to scale it down for him cause hes running MSI, not MSII :hs:
Don't know if its possible in MSII though. If you were to select 12x12, would it scale down automatically? Maybe I should try myself. |
Ah yes, this is what MT interpolates to. For some reason I can't get TS to convert to 12x12. It always reverts back to 16x16. Shrug.
You might want to adjust it so the rpm columns are the same as those from the AFR table. http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/4...2009192639.png |
Thanks alot for the assistance guys, it's all up and running quite well now, if a little rich throughout. Nothing a fine tune and some time on MLV won't sort but at least it's getting there with the help of you lot :)
I know Im a noob but who the fook cares (apart from hustler?). :giggle: |
