assembling my MS V3... need some help

ok, so i'm almost done with the MS V3 kit for my '91. (although i have installed the VTPS off an auto already)
following Brainiak's instructions, i've installed the D8, but then as i read the megamanual, it states "(Note - do not install D8 if you are using a PWM idle valve.)" but on the list of "requirements" he's got the PWM idle valve mod...
so... what's up with that? lol. should i install D8 or not?
Also, about the Hall/optical/points, how should i go about this?
i installed it on the PCB, should i remove it?
thanks for the inputs!!!

From PWM IAC Valve Control (TIP120) 'Mod-Kit' by DIYAutoTune:
Do not install Q20 or D8, and jumper R39 as well. You will also have to put a 1N4001 diode (included) across the PWM Idle valve itself - the banded end goes to the 12 Volt supply, the non-banded end goes to the lead that goes to MegaSquirt (this diode is for flyback purposes on the idle valve).
So, don't install D8. Don't install Q20. Do jumper across R39.

From How to MegaSquirt your Mazda Miata by DIYAutoTune:
First off when you build up the PCB3.0 board configure the tach circuit for Hall/Opto/Points (step 52). When you get to optional components that say to only install them if you are triggering from the negative side of the coil; you aren't - so don't.
So, build the complete Hall/Opto/Points input section and then modify as required.
