Back to stock ECU for emissions = Issues

Hey guys,

I was switching back to the stock ECU from one of the beta MSPNP9697 temporarily for emissions. Currently the car is naturally aspirated but I will be ordering a hotside mp62 from TDR this week.

My PROBLEM is that once I connected everything back (including the vacuum hose), the car doesn't always start and then tries to cut off when little throttle is applied in neutral. When in gear, the car struggles to move unless I really hit the throttle. The car just shuts off. The A/C is now always cutting the car off.

I have unplugged the battery for several hours and the problem still exists after a 10 minute idle warmup. The check engine light has been on the entire time with the stock ECU back in place.

The only upgrades I have done that the stock ECU is now seeing for the first time is a 9lb flywheel and 93 octane. I do hear a loud bang from the left side of the motor in the 800-1300 rpm range under load.

Does anybody have any advice? Also, what exactly is the electrical connector that has the vacuum hose from the throttle body that the MSPNP used to be connected to.

Thanks for the help.

Did you remove the AFM with MS? If so, you need that back in. Although i dont think the car can start without it on the stock ECU.

Are you talking about the IAC valve?
