Barometric Correction(for cars tuned at sea level)

I've started to notice the past couple of track days my AFRs are .5-.8 richer than at sea level. I understand as altitude increases , air becomes less dense and fuel corrections need to be made. Seeing as I tuned the car in San Diego at sea level this would make sense.

However, I was under the impression when you cycle the power and the MS takes the initial map reading and non-linear baro correction table are set to zero it should account for the current baro reading. This does not seem to be the case or I do not properly understand these settings.

I am running an MS2 built some time ago that I bought from shuiend and it is running a much older 3.0.3 pre-alpha firmware. Would upgrading the firmware to the current version or Gslender mod be helpful in correcting this issue? Or is upgrading the map sensor to the "Map Daddy" option the true solution for real time correction.

Go read the baro correction sensor install thread from just a few days ago. The short answer is that the automatic correction for barometric correction is wrong and pulls out too much fuel. There is a more detailed explanation in the other thread.
